We are partnering with a high-growth, innovative organization seeking a Senior People Technology Product Manager (Workday) to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of Workday Talent & Performance capabilities. This role sits within the People Technology function and serves as a critical bridge between HR and technology, enabling scalable, user-centric solutions that support performance, development, and talent growth across the enterprise.
This is a highly visible, hands-on product ownership role for a Workday expert who can translate talent strategy into system design and execution. You will own the full product lifecycle—from discovery and roadmap development through configuration, deployment, and continuous improvement—while partnering closely with HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Compensation:
Salary: $150,000 – $180,000

Primary Responsibilities
- Drive the vision, roadmap, and ongoing prioritization for Workday Talent & Performance capabilities, ensuring alignment with broader HR and business objectives
- Act as the primary product owner, balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing operational enhancements and system optimization
- Collaborate with HR leadership to translate performance management philosophy and talent frameworks into scalable, technology-enabled solutions
- Assess new Workday features and related technologies, recommending enhancements based on business value and user experience impact
- Lead full lifecycle delivery across Talent & Performance initiatives, including discovery, requirements definition, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Configure and optimize Workday modules supporting goals, performance cycles, feedback processes, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning
- Develop clear user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria; partner with technical teams and third parties to execute solutions
- Oversee testing activities across unit, integration, and user acceptance phases to ensure quality and readiness
- Serve as a strategic partner to HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and shared services teams to ensure solutions align with real-world needs
- Enhance user experience by streamlining workflows, improving self-service capabilities, and leveraging automation and AI where applicable
- Drive adoption through change management strategies, including communications, training materials, and enablement resources
- Establish and monitor success metrics such as adoption rates, engagement, and process efficiency
- Provide ongoing operational support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system enhancements
- Lead participation in Workday bi-annual releases, including impact assessments, testing coordination, and feature rollout planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards across all solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in HR Technology, Product Management, or enterprise systems ownership
- Hands-on expertise with Workday Talent & Performance, including configuration and delivery of core talent processes
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end HR technology solutions in complex, global environments
- Strong understanding of performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee development practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior HR stakeholders using data-driven insights
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Talent and performance processes are intuitive, scalable, and widely adopted across the organization
- Leaders and managers rely on Workday as a trusted system for talent and performance decisions
- Performance cycles are efficient, engaging, and require minimal manual intervention
- The product roadmap evolves proactively to support changing workforce and business needs
