About The Role
We are partnering with an innovative technology organization seeking a Senior AI Full Stack Developer to join its Platform Engineering team. This fully remote opportunity offers the chance to shape the foundational web platform leveraged across a growing engineering organization. Reporting into the platform engineering function, this individual will help define the frameworks, standards, and development patterns that enable teams to deliver scalable, modern customer-facing applications.
This is a highly visible role that combines hands-on software development, platform engineering, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate is a senior-level engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces emerging technologies, and leverages AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery and improve engineering outcomes. This position offers significant autonomy, influence, and the opportunity to impact how software is built across the organization.
Compensation
Salary: $140,000 – $155,000
Incentives: 10% target annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance shared platform capabilities, reusable libraries, and engineering frameworks that support multiple product teams.
Create and maintain standardized development patterns, templates, and tooling that improve consistency, scalability, and developer productivity across the organization.
Develop modern web applications and user experiences using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and related frontend technologies.
Build and extend backend services using object-oriented design principles and modern distributed architecture practices.
Implement asynchronous integrations, workflow orchestration, and event-driven communication patterns that support scalable business processes.
Optimize application performance through efficient data access strategies, service design, and frontend architecture improvements.
Contribute to deployment automation, infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and continuous delivery initiatives across the platform ecosystem.
Champion the use of AI-powered development tools, intelligent automation, and modern engineering workflows to increase development velocity and software quality.
Partner with architects, product leaders, and engineering teams to establish technical standards, improve platform adoption, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Create clear technical documentation, architectural guidance, and contribution standards that enable engineers to build efficiently on shared platform services.
Provide technical leadership through architectural decision-making, mentoring, and best-practice guidance while remaining deeply involved in hands-on development.
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a demonstrated history of delivering production-grade applications and services.
Advanced proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript; strong experience building modern applications using React or similar frontend frameworks.
Experience developing backend services utilizing object-oriented programming concepts and modern software design patterns.
Strong understanding of API development, distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and scalable application design.
Experience working with event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing models, messaging platforms, or CQRS-style patterns is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps best practices.
Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, workflow automation platforms, or prompt engineering techniques within software development environments.
Proven ability to independently lead technical initiatives, evaluate architectural tradeoffs, and drive solutions from concept through production deployment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience contributing to shared engineering platforms, internal developer tooling, or open-source projects is a plus.
