Founder & CEO
My Job @Sayva:
As CEO, my top priority is ensuring our culture is consistent with our values. Beyond that, it is my responsibility to make sure our company’s growth strategy aligns with creating value and growth opportunities for our clients, employees, consultants, and candidates.
Before Sayva I was…:
I started my career with EY, eventually becoming part of the National Practice, which basically means I traveled 100% of the time and worked a lot. It was great until I moved to San Diego and realized I preferred Taco Tuesdays in Pacific Beach vs winters in Chicago and NYC. Since leaving public accounting I have been building teams to help companies solve growth and talent problems for close to 20 years.
My Proudest Sayva Moment:
My proudest moment at Sayva was when we won our first Best Places to Work award from the San Diego Business Journal in 2017. I always thought the “fastest growing” awards or some sort of revenue milestone would be the most rewarding, but when we made top 10 the first year we applied I knew we had something special. We’ve been recognized as one of San Diego’s Best Places to Work 5 years in a row now…all top 10.
3 Things to Know About Me:
1. I played baseball in college for Kansas State University for 4 years. I would still be playing now but my phone stopped ringing.
2. I have a wife and 4 kids that keep me busy and are my biggest support system. I love trying to convince my kids that they can accomplish anything if they are inspired and have the right mindset. They mostly just roll their eyes, but I know they are listening…at least I hope they are. 😊
3. I am from Kansas City and love all things KC…Chiefs, Royals, and BBQ! I still embrace my Midwest roots and enjoy holding the door open for people, saying please and thank you, and talking about what we are going to eat for our next meal!
