Senior Software Engineer (TM1)

Salary: W2 direct hire. Base + Bonus + 401k match + Retirement package (total compensation $170,000-200,000

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for capturing, interpreting and understanding the needs of the business. Analyzes, evaluates and documents TM1 development requests to understand and prioritize requests.
- Enhance, maintain and troubleshoot complex TM1 applications. Support tool upgrades as required to keep up with technology.
- Create and administer security at all levels client-groups cubes dimensions processes etc.
- Give support to users of TM1/Planning Analytics during budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Analyze and resolve data and technical issues raised by the users.
- Good understanding of SQL OLAP and data warehousing concepts.
- Automation of process and Jobs in TM1/Planning Analytics.
- Build TI Process/Chores Build Complex Rules, TM1 contributor web applications, Model, design, and create Cognos TM1 Cubes from OLTP sources into OLAP cubes.
- Develop overall data flow and reporting model in Perspective, Architect, Performance Modeler, PAW and PAX.
Ideal Qualifications (not all required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or related degree.
- 4+ years TM1 (Planning Analytics) development and support experience
- TM1 development experience (model building, admin activities – troubleshooting and model optimization)
- Experience developing in Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) and Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX)
- A strong understanding of database design and data warehousing concepts, familiar with any database query engine like SQL Developer/Toad.
- Experience with reporting tools like Cognos Report Studio, Cognos Framework Manager, Cognos Dashboards, Tableau
- Programming/scripting experience (SQL-joins and union), HTML, Python and knowledge of software development life cycle.
- Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills
- Understanding of standard development frameworks and methodologies (.NET, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, MVC, HTML, CSS, Python, XML, XSD, IIS, Object Oriented Design, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
