About the Opportunity:

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant (Financial Reporting) who will support the preparation of quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements for use by management, partners, lenders and outside agencies. Perform various reporting tasks for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information including financial analysis and other metrics required by internal or external management and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information and reporting for use by management, partners, lenders and outside agencies; including workpapers and support.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information internally to company’s corporate in support of 10K/10Q and internal reporting, as well as external reporting to board/partners, including financial analysis and other metrics required by internal or external customers.
  • Assist in the implementation of company’s financial reporting strategy, standards, processes, and procedures for accounting and systems in support of an evolving organization.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and relevant processes for growing combined entity.
  • Implement and support innovative and automated accounting reporting tools and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5+ years in a comparable accounting role is required.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles generally accepted in the U.S.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and internal controls (HFM and MAX experience is a plus).
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, develop, recommend and implement solutions.
  • Ability to process transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and with moderate guidance from management.
  • Decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Interact and communicate with others, verbally and orally.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred.
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Preferred.
