About the Opportunity: We have several Senior Accountant positions open at all times! We work with a variety of clients in the San Diego area – from startup to global enterprise across several industries. Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to the accounting team on both business and accounting issues
- Manage day to day responsibilities for business inquires and questions
- Review and approve journal entries, variance analysis commentary and reconciliations for selected balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Research business transactions and document accounting issues
- Review and ensure completion of key accounting reports and analysis
- Manage and complete work on ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from the business
- Streamline current processes and eliminate redundant or non-value added work
- Assist in the preparation and review of the external auditor’s interim and annual audit schedules
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years’ audit experience in public accounting or general ledger experience
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills including v-lookup formulas
- Ability to prepare written memorandums summarizing accounting research
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels within an organization
