Accounting Manager Consultant
About the Opportunity: We are partnering with a public company in San Diego that is seeking an Accounting Manager Consultant. This Consultant will be responsible for managing the General Ledger function and ad hoc projects. This is a collaborative role for a self-starter and consultant motivated to make an immediate impact.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and review the month-end close, GL accounting process, and journal entries
- Support and review the revenue function including month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and cash flow statements, and ensure compliance from cross-functional teams
- Oversee all Balance Sheet account reconciliations including hands-on reconciliations and analysis
- Collaborate with accounting functions to ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Implement process improvements over general accounting function
- Manage internal control compliance and support the external audit
- Support ad-hoc accounting projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields
- CPA certification preferred
- 5+ years’ experience including public accounting experience, preferred
- In depth understanding of US GAAP and full-function accounting process
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, required
- Process efficiencies and system implementation experience is ideal
- Advanced skillset with Excel, required
